چکیده

Humic acid (HA) is a component of natural organic matter (NOM) with high molecular weight and complexity. The presence humic in water raises serious concerns due to its toxicity ability form carcinogenic trihalomethanes. Adsorption was shown be an effective method for the removal from various wastewater sources. Many adsorbents were feasible removing HA wastewater, including carbon-based activated carbons, clay-based adsorbents, zeolites, iron-based/magnetic functionalized adsorbents. using different types presented reviewed effect changing operational parameters such as pH, adsorbent dosage, contact time, initial concentration, temperature, ionic strength on adsorption performance evaluated. According review, nano-MgO performed best capacity, while MAER-3 resin most regeneration cycles. Nano-MgO promising capacity capabilities, 1260 mg/g ten Future research should focus continuous processes order scale-up use industrial level, well actual rather than synthesized experiments, cost analysis determine feasibility scaling up level.

Humic acid removal from aqueous solutions by peroxi-electrocoagulation process

Background: Natural organic matter is the cause of many problems associated with water treatment such as the presence of disinfection by-products (DBPs) and membrane fouling during water filtration. In this study, the performance of the peroxi-electrocoagulation process (PEP) was investigated for the removal of humic acids (HAs) from aqueous solutions. Methods: PEP was carried out for the remov...

Adsorption Removal of Humic Acid from Water Using a Modified Algerian Bentonite

In this study, the main objective is the preparation and the characterization of a modified Algerian bentonite based adsorbent by intercalation with hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide (HDTMA). Natural and modified bentonites were characterized using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The X-ray results indicate that the geometry of the int...

Recent advances based on the synergetic effect of adsorption for removal of dyes from waste water using photocatalytic process.

The problem of textile dye pollution has been addressed by various methods, mainly physical, chemical, biological, and acoustical. These methods mainly separate and/or remove the dye present in water. Recently, advanced oxidation processes (AOP) have been focused for removal of dye from waste water due to their advantages such as ecofriendly, economic and capable to degrade many dyes or organic...

Application of Electron Beam/MnII Process for Humic Acid Removal from Aqueous Solutions

Introduction: Natural organic matters (NOMs) existing in water resources led to various problems such as formation of disinfectant by-products (DBPs). Humic matters like humic acid (HA) are component of NOMs that should be removed from water. Advanced oxidation process (AOPs) is one of the NOMs removal methods. The aim of this study was to survey the degradation of humic acid by electron beam i...
